First off, I’m a music snob. Big Time. I really can’t stand to listen to commercial radio and pop music. Country music……..I don’t think so. Now, there are exceptions to the rules, but for the most part, I’m all about indie and alternative music.
Let’s start this beast with one of my favorite bands, currently. TV on the Radio just released their new album “Nine Types of Light” after taking a few years off.I was a bit worried that they might not get back together. Luckily, during the hiatus, the members released solo material in the form of Rain Machine and Maximum Balloon. While those efforts were nice, they were no TVOR.
After a two year break, I was also a little fearful they would lose their “art rock” mentality. There is something soulful about the TVOR sound. I’m happy to say, TVOR picked up where they left off. More interestingly, TVOR released a companion video via the internet to accompany their album. So here’s the link for a 59 minute video from TVOR’s new album. Let me know what you think.
