It’s March. You’d never guess it by the weather and forecast. We have a winter storm warning and are expecting 7-10 inches of snow. The worst of the snow is supposed to arrive late morning and go through the evening. That leaves schools in a bit of a pickle. Do they call off school, or wait? And if they wait, do they attempt to have school in hopes the storm comes later than expected? It’s a difficult decision.
We’ve actually made it through the winter without using one snow day. While that is cool, we’re also at the point where getting an unplanned day off isn’t necessarily a bad thing. So the dilemma is day off tomorrow and go one extra day or school tomorrow and get out a day early. I am hoping at this point for the day off, but won’t be disappointed if we are at school. I just think for student safety, school should be called off. Luckily, it’s not my call.
