Wow! It’s been awhile. I forgot what a full day of work felt like. I’m a bit tired and a little more nervous than how I started the day. It’s typical first day of teachers reporting to school nerves. I still have a ton of work to do, so part of the weekend will be spent working on the small nagging things that teachers enjoy so much. It’s nothing too terribly taxing. Once I get the small stuff out of the way, I’ll relax a little. Lesson plans are done, so that’s half the battle.
My daughter is all settled into her new apartment thanks to my wife who is with her. My daughter sounds like she has a pretty decent roommate too. Last year she had a roommate who would pile dirty clothes on the floor. The pile would grow daily and stay that way for months. Yes, months. That is not an exaggeration. It got so bad that my daughter had to put on a hazmat suit and bag everything because it actually started to smell and display some sort of life. She didn’t burn the pile as I suggested.
We are postponing our yearly viewing of Chalk for a week or two because one of my friends had to work and we want the entire group bonding experience. That’s OK. I could fall asleep and that wouldn’t be a good idea with this group. I might have a bulls-eye and the words “love me” painted on my body if I did doze off. Oh, and pictures of that posted somewhere on the internet.
Photos of the day are a mixture of street shots from me and one from my son. I think he’s on a roll with how he’s shooting lately. The ‘Joe’s brewery” photo is really pretty nice.
Until Next Time,
Peace!
