How sad is this? A man commits a bank robbery for one dollar just so he can receive proper medical treatment. Between the economy and lack of government action, our country seems to be falling apart. Personally, I don’t blame President Obama. I blame the leadership before him who lead us on this current path. I blame bipartisan politics and the games our leaders play. Who pays for it? The people. It is absolutely frightening to imagine where our country is going to be when I get old. Even more frightening, what is going to happen when our children become old? Something needs to be done. I’m not a political person. Don’t like it. Maybe it’s because I’ve seen what our political system has become and am completely skeptical. But it’s not just our country, it’s the world. Is the current state of economics downturn a path we are destined to follow for eternity? I don’t have the answers nor do I believe our leaders have the answers either, both past and present. Just some points to ponder.

Lots of good music out today. Just some quick hit information on what I think are some of the top releases. Bon Iver, Chain Gang of 1974, Digitalism, The Underground Railroad, Unknown Mortal Orchestra and The Victorian English Gentlemens Club are some of the top releases that I’ve heard. Out of this group, Chain Gang of 1974 really is a surprise. Never heard of them and on first listen, their sound completely captivated me. They are a band out of Denver and on first listen they really remind me of LCD Soundsystem. If you want to find out more about Chain Gang of 1974 and preview their sound, click on the link.
Not released this week, but last week, WU LYF is absolutely stunning. Out of Manchester, this band has been fairly secretive in who they are. From what I understand, they have avoided signing with any label and released their first album “Go Tell Fire to the Mountain” on their own label. There is an absolute power to their music. Check them out in the video.
And it wouldn’t be right of me not to mention a new Skrillex compilation video he just released highlighting his recent tour. Yep, that’s right, Tommy Lee is spotted in the video. Lee has been trying his hand at DJing and remixing as of late and has been on tour with Deadmau5 and Skrillex the last few months. He’s actually pretty good. Until next time…….PEACE!
